Former member of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra & renown-improvising violinist, British born violinist Ben Powelll stands among select few as one of the leading multi-stylistic violinists of his generation. Powell performed at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics and the BBC Proms. He is as familiar a presence at international jazz festivals and live music clubs as he is in the world of Early Music and the classical concert hall. As a performer, recording artist, composer and ambassador for jazz and alternative string playing, Ben enjoys a fulfilling career celebrating his many musical aspirations. Most recently, Ben has led his jazz projects in performances at the Tanglewood, Vancouver, Victoria and Cheltenham International Jazz Festivals, including recent notable jazz club appearences at Scullers Jazz Club (Boston),  The Kitano (NYC), Sunset (Paris) and Pizza Express Jazz Club (London).  His most recent CD ‘New Street’ gained national acclaim garnering press pieces on NPR’s ‘All Things Considered’ and Downbeat Magazine to name a few. Powel is also an avid educator, regularly leading improvisation workshops and clinics across the USA, Canada and Europe.

The dynamic ‘Frank & Vinny’ show has been taking the guitar world by storm. They inject comedy and showmanship alongside dazzling virtuosity to deliver an eclectic set of popular tunes crossing all sorts of barriers into every performance. Frank Vignola is one of the most extraordinary guitarists performing before the public today. His stunning virtuosity has made him the guitarist of choice for many of he world’s top musicians, the Boston Pops, the New York Pops, and guitar legend Les Paul who named Vignola to his “Five Most Admired Guitar List” for the Wall Street Journal. At the age of 28 Vinny Raniolo has already proved himself to be among the elite. He has performed and recorded with Bucky Pizzarelli, Tommy Emmanuel and David Grisman just to name a few. Since Frank and Vinny teamed up in 2008 they have performed over 1000 shows at some of the most prestigious concert halls and festivals in the world including the Sydney Opera House, Lincoln Center, Liverpool Philharmonic, Quebec Music Festival and Italy’s Teatro Olimpico. Their jaw-dropping technique and incredible showmanship explains why the New York Times deemed them, “…stars of the guitar.”

Olli Soikkeli

Olli Soikkeli was born in Nurmes, Finland in 1991. Now based in New York City, he started playing guitar at age of 12. After a few years of playing, Olli was introduced to the music of great Django Reinhardt and Gypsy Jazz has been Ollis main focus ever since. Soon Olli was playing in jazz clubs and festivals all around Finland.

Despite his young age he’s already played with stars such as Bucky Pizzarelli, Andreas Öberg, Samson Schmitt, Anat Cohen, Tommy Emmanuel, Paulus Schäfer, Antti Sarpila and Marian Petrescu.

In 2011 Olli recorded his first album “Trois Générations” with Hot Club de Finlande and Vitali Imereli and in 2012 he recorded his second album “Kouvola Junction” with Paulus Schäfer and Arnoud van den Berg.

2014 Rhythm Future Quartet’s debut album was released. The Wall Street Journal wrote “Olli Soikkeli, a riveting finnish guitarist who combines astonishing dexterity and speed with pure soul in a way that places him among the worthiest current day successors to the legacy of the great Django.”
